The Football Heroes Awards is an initiative launched every year by the International Football Development Association (IFDA). It aims at distinguishing the best football practices characterised by top-level professionalism, high social responsibility and exhibition of important moral values. It emphasises that football is not only about players on the field but it also engages a lot of people outside the football pitch.

This year, the event will take place in Moscow on September 12th, 2019.
The IFDA short-listed three candidates for all of the 11 categories that range from marketing to football innovation, journalism, education, social responsibility communication and activities, etc.

The nominees have been chosen by a special committee composed of the presidents of IFDA divisions in different countries, and the final winners are decided in a survey carried out among 250 former football players from all over the world.

LIFE TACKLE project was nominated in Football Heroes Awards for social responsibility communication, for its work for the promotion of awareness of environmental management in football stadiums in order to reduce waste during football events and tackle other environmental issues linked to such events.
Under this category, it competes with NIKE and UEFA for the final award.

We wish good luck to LIFE TACKLE project!
